Hey everyone! Here’s a quick round-up of the latest updates from Tines over the past week. Lots of quality-of-life improvements across AI, Stories, Apps, Cases, and Admin features.
AI and model updates
OpenAI’s latest GPT-5.6 models are now available in Tines. You can choose from three tiers depending on your task: GPT-5.6 Sol for complex work, GPT-5.6 Terra for balanced performance and cost, and GPT-5.6 Luna for fast, cost-effective jobs. These models are available through the Tines OpenAI provider or with your own API key. More details
You can also now select AI providers dynamically at runtime using a formula. A new AI providers API lets you retrieve your tenant’s providers and their connected models, then pass a provider GUID into an AI agent action. This makes it much easier to switch providers on the fly based on workflow logic. More details
Story and Storyboard improvements
Find and replace is here for stories. Press Cmd/Ctrl + Shift + F to open the panel from anywhere in a story. You can search across all user-editable fields, narrow results with match case and match whole words, and replace all matches at once. Great for bulk updates across large or complex workflows. The story version bar and version history have been redesigned. The version bar now includes a direct “Restore” button, so you don’t need to open the full visual diff. Version history also collapses autosaved versions to keep the list cleaner and easier to scan. More details
Need help naming or describing your story? Click the sparkle (
) icon next to the name or description field and Tines will automatically generate one based on your actions, saving you time on documentation. More details
Apps updates
You can now set a custom URL for your Apps from the share panel, making them easier to recognize and share. Existing links with unique identifiers will still work and redirect automatically. More details
App endpoints can now reuse recent responses instead of re-running the story for identical requests. Configure whether reuse is per-user or per-app, and set how long responses remain valid. This reduces latency and duplicate runs. More info in the docs
Cases updates
The case activity panel has been refreshed with a cleaner layout. It fits more information on screen, makes comments stand out more clearly, and is generally easier to read. More details
You can now create cases from a template via the API. The Create case API supports a new template_id parameter. When you provide a template ID, Tines automatically fills in the template’s values, and any values in your request override the defaults. Use the List case templates API or right-click any template to find its ID. More details
Admin and security
Tenant owners can now restrict who can create API keys using a new tenant setting on the API keys settings page. When enabled, only tenant owners and users with the API_KEY_CREATE permission can create keys. See the documentation
