What exactly is 3B, and how does it relate to Tines?

I keep seeing “3B” mentioned alongside Tines and I want to make sure I understand the relationship before I dive in. Is 3B a rebrand, a new product, or a layer that sits on top of what Tines already does? I’d love a plain-language explanation of what it is and where it fits, especially for someone coming in fresh. If there’s an official overview somewhere, point me to it so I can read up.

Great question!

3B (full name Tines 3B) isn’t a rebrand of Tines, and it isn’t a layer bolted onto the automation product you may already know. It’s a separate product, an AI-native environment for building and running the work that matters most.

Here’s the plain-language version: in the original Tines (full name Tines Stories) you build stories, automated workflows made of actions on a canvas. Tines 3B is broader. You describe what you want, and you build apps, tools, agents, and automations, with actual code. So it’s less “automation canvas” and more “a place to build the thing,” whatever the thing is. The idea is that every team in a given organization gets the power to build with AI, while Security and IT keep the control to run and govern that work safely: protected credentials, isolated execution, monitoring, and audit trails.

Where it fits: think of Tines Stories and Tines 3B as siblings under the same roof rather than one product sitting on top of the other. They share the company and a lot of the same DNA around security and ease of use, but they’re distinct products you’d choose between based on what you’re building.
